Happy 42nd Birthday to me

I really enjoyed yesterday celebrating my 42nd birthday. The first one since my brother’s suicide in 2014 that I actually felt any peace, or the desire to celebrate the occasion. He always made my birthday feel so important. It was a fun day filled with happiness, laughter, and love. As I have said before, Barry makes me feel like everyday is my birthday, but they really made me feel special yesterday. I woke up to him and Peyton serving me a homemade sausage and cheese biscuit, a smoothie, and coffee, in bed. All three are my favorites! Barry asked me if I wanted to go to one of my favorite restaurants, Mary Mac’s Tea in Atlanta, but I chose to celebrate at home. My favorite place! He made my requested meal, his organic hamburgers (the best), and homemade sliced fried potatoes dipped in Jalapeño ketchup. They bought my favorite cake, a Publix Carrot Cake, and champagne. I loved that my mom was here to celebrate with me, my precious friend, Ms. Huff who was my eighth grade teacher, and Joani, AKA as Gigi. I received a very special message too from someone I love and miss dearly! I also got me some Beats by Dre, in Georgia State University blue. They will be great for meditation! I got a beautiful silver cross that I will hang in my bedroom from Ms. Huff.

I thank all of those who love me and treat me with respect and kindness! You are the people who help me keep pushing to forget the bad, and to appreciate the good. ❤️
